Professor Adair sat behind his desk waiting for the two students whom he had given detentions. His clasroom was very instresting, not many students had seen it for it was rare that they had class indoors.
On a gold perch was an old grey owl, who appeared to be sleeping, on the walls were pictures of different creatures. On some desks were some old dusty, grimy cages and vials, which needed to be cleaned.
And who would be cleaning them? Take a wild guess.

Blue eyes looking at the floor, Anya shuffled into the classroom. "What are we doing?" the third year asked coldly. They had gotten detention for no good reason, and she was pissed.

Adair motioned to the stuff on the desk, "I need some equipment cleaned. The cleaning stuff is there” He eyed her “And NO magic.” he held out his hand for her wand.
The owl let out a loud screech and blinked down ay Anya and tiled its head.

Anya stared at him. "Nuh-uh. I am NOT giving up my wand, even for detention." She paused and looked around. "What the hell is that from?!" she asked, pointing to a 150 FT snakeskin. "Er I mean what is that from."

Adair sighed, "Keep it in your pocket then and if you take it you then I will take away more points." He looked to the snakes skin. "That?" he grined, "Thats the skin of a Basilisk. I'm sure you've heard of them.."

He nodded and walked over to the skin and ran his fingers over it, "Indeed it did." he looked to her, "You better get started if you want to get out of here." He looked around, "Where is Mr. Charlton?" he questioned.

Kai stormed into the room, muttering and swearing darkly about a 'no good Tobias' and 'damn freezing lake' and other such things. For if you were to look at him, you would find that Kai looked a little wet. He'd never been too good at drying spells, but atleast he wasn't /soaking/. "Right," He began, glancing disgustedly at the cages and then back to the Professor. "What're we doin'? Though I've got a good guess all ready."

When Kai stormed in, Anya looked up. "Hi," she said brightening up. "We have to clean. No magic," she explained, tossing him a rag. "How incredibly fun, isn't it?"

Adair nodded, "Good eveing to you too Mr. Charlton." He chuckled soflty, "A bit wet are we?" He pulled out his wand and muttered a drying spell. He then nodded to what Anya said, "Yes.. no magic." He took a seat behind his desk once more eyeing the two students. As Anya had already pointed out he had a skin of a Basilisk, but there were many other things that could catch their eye. Skulls of various creatures, such as dragons, hippogryffs. There were dragons teeth and various bird feathers were in cases. Also on the wall there hung a pendente, with the form of the moon made from stone hanging from it. "Also, please be careful with those." he told them eyeing them closely.

Anya went on to dusting off a a Dragons tooth encased in glass. She almost dropped it. "Oops," she said sheepishly. Then she held it up to study it. "Dragons tooth... Common welsh green, I think?" She loved showing off her knowledge about these things. As long as she could remember, Anya's mum had worked with magical creatures and sometimes their fossils. Her dad was a hopless babysitter, so she had often gone to work with her mum.

At the sound of 'opps' he looked up qucikly but when he saw all was well Adair smiled and nodded, "Correct Miss Delioncour, you know your creatures." He smiled, "Probably why you are one of my best students." He smiled, "But again..please be careful"

Anya nodded, turning a light pink. Setting down the case, she looked at the pendant. "Er.. whats that? I've never seen anything like it?" It was turning out that the Detention wasn't so bad. "And.. Kai. Why were you wet?" she asked, holding back a small giggle.

He turned towards the pendent, "That was a gift." he looked towards her, "When I was in Romaina a diease had broken out in a pack of werewolves and I was one of the ones helping to heal them."
He frowned, "It was horrible, they didn't sound like people most of the time" He closed his eyes breifly, "They were howling, growling, whimpering. Many of them died." He walked over to the pendant and lifted it off its hook and brought it over so they could see it better, "The elder of the Pack gave it to me and told me I had the protection of the moon and of the pack."
