Anya climbed the steps to the owlery slowly, letter in hand. It was a letter to Remus, asking him to meet her, so they could talk. She had no idea whether he would come, but she could still hope. She re-read the letter again.
Dear Remus, I know I havn't been very fair to you lately. infact to put it plainly, I've been a real bitch. But I want to talk to you. If you're willing to talk, meet me in the owlery once you get this letter. If you don't want to, send a note saying so, so I don't get my hopes up. Love, Anya. It didn't seem to stupid did it? With a sigh, Anya sent her owl off with the letter. All to do now was wait.

He almost jumped a mile into the air when the owl hit the window of the Boys’ Dorms. “Hey!” He cried, leaping to his feet and over to the window, quickly opening it so the rather ruffled-looking owl could hop inside and deliver the letter. As soon as Remus had torn the letter free, the owl gave an important hoot, turned and flew out of the window. “Nice to meet you too,” Remus muttered darkly, tearing open the letter. He didn’t often get letters, and could still feel his heart beating loudly from the shock of the owl’s appearance.
Amber eyes flickered over the writing, merely a short note. “Right…” He began, but never finished as he sprinted out of Gryffindor Tower, up several staircases, and into the Owlery, looking rather flushed and panting, several of the buttons open on his shirt. “Anya?”<br>

Anya jumped in surprise. She hadn't even noticed Remus had walked in. "You got my letter then? She asked in a quiet voice.

“Yes, I did. The owl smacked into the Boys’ Dorm window. So… What did you want to meet me here for?” Remus questioned, head tilting to the side, jewel-like amber eyes gazing steadily at Anya, wondering why she had called him here. Perhaps she wanted to ‘recreate’ their friendship- but didn’t they still have a friendship? Remus wasn’t sure on that one. After what happened with Lily, Remus wasn’t sure of anything.

"I just wanted to say sorry for spazzing out about the thing with Lily. I mean, it wasn't your fault. And since me and Lily made up, I just wanted to makesure things were still OK between us..." She trailed off lamely. Anya's blue eyes were clouded, and looked as if she was trying hard not to start crying. Tomany emotions were building up, hope and pain being the biggest ones.

Remus stepped forwards slowly, then back, not wishing to be intimidating or anything. There was a fresh batch of scars on his arms, still red and sore from the other night, and in plain sight due to the white Muggle shirt he was wearing. “Anya… Don’t cry. Please?” He murmured. He desperately wanted to open his heart to her, to reveal the fact that he loved her. But, perhaps Anya had found someone else.

((Aww pooooooor Remmy. He'd probably freak when he found out about Kai.))
Anya took a deep breath. "So are things OK between us?" She asked again. Wiping away a couple tears that had managed to fall. Lucky for her, it didn't seem like Remus was mad at her. Quite the contrary, really.

“Utterly fine,” Remus nodded. “So… What’s been happening with you?” He asked, a soft smile adorning his pale, tired face that now carried a few new bruises. “Anything interesting? Met any new… People?” He managed to keep a casual look on his face, and a tone of mere curiousity.
(She has to tell him! I've just thought of a post for it!)

(( Ok ^^))
Anya looked at the ground, trying to hide the guilty look on her face. "Er yeah actually I did. He's real nice. His name is Kai. Kai Charlton." She didn't know what possesed her to do it, but she added, "We are going to the dance together!"

You could clearly see the heartbreak upon his face, the light of joy that always shone in his jewel-like amber eyes dimmed then died, and his smile vanished. His bottom lip quivered, and it felt as if time had slowed. He’d been so close –so /close/- to telling her how much he loved her. How he wanted to spend the rest of his life with her, despite his lycanthropy.
‘ “We are going to the dance together!” ’
He’d been hoping to ask Anya to the dance, and prayed it might turn out better than the last dance. But no. Finally, time returned to ‘normal’, and Remus couldn’t even stop the tears that poured down his cheeks.

Anya immediatly wanted to hit herself for telling him. "Remus... I'm sorry! I shouldn't have said anything!" She hadn't known he would react this way! 'I can never do anything right,' she said dismally.

Remus desperately wiped at the tears rolling down his cheeks, not saying anything to Anya. With a mixed emotional look at the girl before him, the girl he loved, he turned on his heel and sped from the Owlery. He should’ve ignored the letter. It had said if he didn’t want to go, he didn’t have too. But he had gone. And now he knew about Anya and Kai.
Kai. Kai Charlton.
Charlton? Tobias Charlton? Remus paused, slumping against a wall, tears dropping to the floor.

Running down the stairs she followed him, trying to catch up. "Remus! Please!" She was starting to wish she had never met Kai, that Lily had never kissed Remus. She slowed down as she saw him slump against a wall. "Remus...I'm sorry. Really."

“I don’t want you to be sorry,” Remus snapped, his face a vicious snarl. But then he calmed down, and his expression softened. “You and Kai probably make an excellent pair. There’s nothing standing in your way of a ‘Happily Ever After’ ending. He’s one of the few people who deserve you, Anya.” He smiled affectionately at her, wiping away the last of his tears.

((-sniffle sniffle- I feel so sorry for Remmy now))
Anya sighed, and hugged him. "Thats not true. I barley know him, to be honest. And there is something standing inbetween 'Happily Ever After'. You."
