Sirius remained silent, pursing his lips and staring at the floor. The urge to hit Sirone fell deep in his heart, though he knew he would never do such a thing. No, the boy had to console himself by viciously cracking his knuckles and only /wishing/ it were her skull.

"Leave him alone, Sirone. Stop acting like you know everything and that you're better than all of us, and just leave him alone." Remus muttered darkly, glaring sharply at Sirone. By the sounds Sirius was making, Remus wasn't the only one annoyed with Sirone.

"Whatever I'm going" she said smirking and walking to the door. She turned round "oh yeah thanks Sirius I really can't stand that new teacher" she said before exiting the class room.
No free of the class she sighed. "where to go, where to go" she muttered tapping her foot bored. "Hmmm left or right" she said rolling her eyes.

Lily looked at Sirius, she was confused to say the least, and slightly shocked. Pity and sympathy swam in her jade eyes, Sirius had never lost it like that. Sure he'd been angry, but normally he would keep cool and say witty comments, not lose it like that and yell at her. It was ... strange and she wasn't entirely sure how to deal with this new reaction.
She swept over to the other side of the classroom, picking up pieces of paper and straightening tables. She couldn't leave this mess for when Corbett came back. She didn't particularly like the man, but she felt a bit sorry for him; his first day on the job and he has something like this happen, poor man. She blinked once more and the dots before her eyes disappeared, finally. Her emerald gaze swept around the room before settling on Sirius. "Look, Sirius, I'm sorry for having a go at you, but you have to realise it was a bit of a silly thing to do." She said gently as she perched on the edge of her chair.

Sirius had frozen in place, his lower limbs crossed, head resting in clammy hands. "Don't worry 'bout it," the grunt was barely understandable, and Sirius was more than aware of that simple fact. The reality of it, though, was that he didn't care. "No-one else does."

Lily genuinely felt a small bubble of pity well up inside her, although it was only small, for Sirius had still done a stupid thing and the five children that had gone to the hospital wing might never recover. How would he feel then? Knowing he had caused them to be blind? Probably a lot worse than Corbett's little speech. The red head sighed and picked up the thick DADA books on the floor and piled them neatly on Corbett's desk. Lily sat back in her place and scribbled down the homework before tapping her feet on the floor along to the rhythm of the new 'Shocking Pumpkins' song, sending occasionally glances at Sirius with a mixture of pity and anger.
