Lily snatched the piece of parchement out of the air and continued to make notes as she unfolded the note on her desk. A smile spread across her lips before she frowned slightly and raised an eyebrow. Scribbling on the back of the scrap of paper; 'Lils? And no worries, forgetaboutit!' Smiling she levitated it back across the room and turned quickly around to listen to the lecture again. Lily Evans passing notes in class *gasp* and to James Potter? *gaspy gasp*

James grinned as she wrote back to him. He snorted a little at the 'forgetaboutit'. He decided to risk writing back to her. 'Oh sorry- not Lils... Miss. Lillian Evans. Is that better?' he then drew a smily face ( ) and sent it back to her. Aww...

Sadie glanced at Remus with her eyebrows raised as Corbett asked the question. "Is it a werewolf?" she asked the new teacher timidly for some reason.

A girl sat in the first row, watching Mr. Cobett as if he was a Vampire himself. Her ice blue eyes would fall onto the parchment on her desk every few oh...say, seconds, and her hand and black quill would fly across the paper. The teen's square-rimmed glasses were constantly falling off of her pale nose, and she would quickly pull them back up and push a peice of her golden hair back. It resembled somewhat of a wheel. Pick up glasses...push hair back...pick up glasses...push hair back. @_@
Another girl who looked exactly like the first sat diagonally from the first. The only difference between the two were that the second didn't have glasses, and her thin, pale lips were formed into a smirk. How awesome it would be to meet a Vampire... she thought as she stared up at Mr. Corbett. It would be much more interesting than this....

Sirius Black lay with his head upon his wooden desk, book propped up in front of him, shielding him from the gaze of his tutor.
Dark locks cascaded into closed eyes, the long lashes trembling slightly with every movement James Potter made.
Yes. Sirius Black sat - or rather slept - beside James Potter, unaware of either his astounding reply to a Professor's question, or of the other boy's conference with the Lily. Had he been awake, perhaps he would have sadi something... but his night had been a peaceless one, full of preoccupations to keep him awake.

Normally when Sirius fell asleep in class, Sadie would make a hat out of parchment and place it upon his head but today he looked somewhat peaceful. She sighed as she propped her head up with her left hand, occasionally glancing at Corbett.

James grinned as he got a note back and jumped slightly as the sleeping form of Sirius snored a little. He rolled his eyes and wrote back: 'Jamesie is an improvement on Annoying Git...' He smiled as he spotted the picture and drew back ( and ) and sent it back to her. He then paused to survey Sirius... It wasn't unusual to find him sleeping in lessons but it was usually History of Magic not DADA which could pass as marginally interesting...

Lily turned and tucked the note into her book as she turned and stuck her tongue out at James before turning to grin at her book. Picking up her quill, Lily began to write down what Professor Corbett was saying on her parchment as well as a few notes from the book when he paused for breath. The quill travelled quickly to and fro in front of Lily's green eyes and her brow creased as she frowned in concentration.

Sirius remained in the land of slumber, hand twitching slightly as the Professor told the class to listen carefully.
As he began to explain, Sirius rolled over - a mistake if ever there was one, for the child was not in bed as heseemed to think. He fell to the floor, waking as he did so, causing an immense crash. "I... I'm sorry..." the teen looked about bleary with bleary eyes, frowning at James as he picked himself up.

"Mr. Black, I would prefer it if you stayed awake during my classes. Though I may be the most boring teacher in the school, it would be nice for you to stay awake," Corbett said suddenly, cocking an eyebrow at Sirius. "Seeing as you think you are better than all of us, and need to sleep during my classes, Mr. Black, tell me-- how do you kill what the Muggles call Dracula?"

"I'm sorry, Sir," Sirius replied, yawning as he did so, "But it wasn't that you're a borig teacher... it's the way you teach that bores me. You..." He would have continued, but stopped as Corbett questioned him. "Oh.." Sirius attempted to speak, but his brain would not cry out the answer. Muggles... Frantically Sirius searched his mind for any clues, anything Sadie may have said, Lily may have said... Films rang a bell... something about sucking blood...
The teen snapped his fingers, raising his head to meet the Professor's gaze. "Well, Professor," he began, "Although unbeknown to some, Dracula is what muggles call a Vampire. Because... because they do... and there's lots of ways to kill one. You know there's the way when they.. and when you pick up that thingummy and put it in... and they umm... And there's so many ways. Those that are well known, and those that aren't. And I'm going to tell you one that I myself discovered when... ummm... looking in my attic at home. If you grab your wand and umm... sorta poke it in their ear, they scream. And then shrink to half their normal size before exploding. Their guts fly everywhere then, and they're not like ours... they're green, Sir, and then your left amongst this gunk. And you have to look through all the blood and bones until you find its heart, then you throw the heart in some magic fire, and that's the end of the vampire."
Sirius nodded earnestly, carefully studying the teacher before him. "Yeah... tried that over the umm... summer holidays.."

Corbett stared, eyesbrows vanishing in his hair. "Well then, Mr. Black. I /would/ have awarded you ten points to Gryffindor, should you have said 'No one knows', but seeing as you chose to make up some.. Utter rubish, that's ten points /from/ Gryffindor." Corbett snapped. "And I do suggest you start studying, and keep awake in my classes."
(No one knows- There's a lot of theories, soo.. xD)

"It wasn't utter rubbish!" Sirius glared at the teacher before him, "I'm telling you, it's true! Go and ask my brother! And if no-one knows, then how do you know whether or not my theory is wrong? If no-one knows how to kill the blo," Sirius caught himself, forcing himself to hesitate before speaking once more, "If no-one knows how to kill it, there's no way you can sit there and tell me that I'm wrong and deduct house-points unless it's been proven that my theory is wrong. Which I sincerely doubt has been done. I'll appeal, Professor, I will. I'll go and confer with Professor Dumbledore, inform him that you are stripping me of my self-taught knowledge and dismissing a possible Dracula killing theory. He won't be pleased, I bet!"
Sirius shook his head dramatically. "I really can't believe you doubt my theory in such a way, Professor..." The teen spoke in tearful tones, "And I do study! That's the reason I was sleeping... I was studying late into the night... no sleep at all..."

James sniggered behind his hand. Sirius studying?
He shot up a hand, speaking before he was called upon "You know, Sirius is right, you can't deduct points from him..." He trailed off and shrugged. So that helped. Yah.
He shrugged once more, lowering his hand and blushing a little, watching to see what Sirius'd do next.
