“Ace?” Tobias’ eyes went wide as he stared at the girl, and then the dress she was wearing. “Why on earth are you a girl? And what is /that/?” He motioned to the ‘dress’ Alice was wearing. Though, he had to admit, he quite liked it. “Oh, yes, I was coming. And I’m not the sort of person to just hurt your feelings for a laugh or anything- that’s not fair.” Kes smiled.

Sadie shook her head softly. "No, I suppose you're not that sort of person.." She glanced around at some of the couples already dancing. "Do you uhh.. Want to.. Uhh.. Y'know.. Dance?"

"Well.....First, Kai 'borrowed' it for me. I'm sure he'll give it back to the person it belongs to later. And as for well......Me.... I got scared so I read about a serten spell and wanted to try it. Do you like it?" Alice asked as she looked herself over for a moment, crimson over her cheeks still as she couldn't stop blushing with the fact that some guys behide her might be staring at her butt.

“Why’d you get scared for?” Tobias frowned, taking Alice’s hand and entwining his fingers with hers. “Hmm? What’s there to be scared of?” This time it was Kes’ turn to blush slightly, green eyes staring straight past Sadie. “Sure. But I can’t- can’t dance or anything.” Kes murmured.

"I-I..I was..."She trailed off, blushing growing while she notice Tobias hand and hers before finshing what she was going to say. "After that day with the letters, I was scared people would laugh at me if they knew who I was and...."She trailed off again, then resting her head on Tobias's shoulder as she pressed her 'chest' against his, closing her eyes. "I don't know really. Maybe because I wanted to find a way so no one would be mad at me, just become someone else for a while. "She finaly sighed as she looked up at Tobias for a moment. "Don't you like it, Tobias?"

Another Gryffindor girl had drifted in with the crowd, however she was not as happy as she appeared. Her green dress fell to her knees and the straps found over her shoulders, her fiery red hair was up, clasped in a forest green clip. She had a smile planted on her lips at seeing the hall, however it was starting to wear away and soon the smile was no longer shining in her emerald eyes. This was, unmistakably, Lily Evans. She meandered over to a table and watched the couples dance. A soft sigh escaped her lips and she began to play with the napkin on the table in front of her as her right hand cupped her face.
She hummed along to the music and gazed ahead with slightly unfocused eyes before realising who she was looking at. There was Sadie and Kes talking, and Kai nearby, there was...some girl which Lily had never seen before dancing with Tobias. She smiled slightly as she glanced around for either Remus or Anya, but she could see them nowhere. Shrugging she wondered if they were going to come together after sorting their feelings out, or maybe they were just late. Whatever, Lily was bored thinking about other people's relationships, instead she amused herself by watching the cupids fly around the room and examined the Great Hall closely. She wasn't really sure what she should do, since she wasn't going to dance alone, and there didn't seem that there were many people she could talk to without interrupting their 'date.'
She sighed, oh well, she'd just eat and drink and be not-so-merry whilst watching others dance.

"Look, I'll teach you ok all though I'm no dancing Queen myself. I guess.. Just relax ok?" She told him calmly before taking both of his hands in hers and led him to the dancefloor.

Another crowd of people rushed through the doors to the Great Hall, each mouth chattering animatedly, each pair of eyes brimming with great exciment. Romance and anticipation gripped the air, enshrouding everybody that stood still long enough.
Slowly the mass of students began to separate, many heading for the (already crowded) dance-floor, hand in hand wit their partners, others darting towards the refreshments table where they could eat, wait for a friend - or just stand for a while, looking as 'cool' as possible.
The latter was certainly what a dark-haired youngster was doing - though one has to admit, he did it with a certain style, striking a relaxed, yet masterful pose.
A slender hand clutched a glass, occasionally raising the punch-filled vessel to rosy lips, the scarlet a deep contrast to the pale face in which the buds were set. The other hand lay upon a table, supporting the weight of the teen, the digits drumming to the rhythm that the band had set. The band, yes. This was where most of the youngster's attention lay.
Seemingly content, dark eyes raked the music-makers, lingering a moment upon each teacher. Sirius grined. What did they look like? Especially that Corbett...
He shook his head, amused. Shifting a foot so it crossed its partner, Sirius re-focused his attention, this time onto the dancing couples. There was Lily. Tobias and some girl - poor thing. Did she know what a creep she was with?
The twins (whom sirius was determined to get to know - he hadn't yet had the pleasure) - one of which was dancing with Sadie. Kes, sirius believed the name to be. He had interrogated a member of his fan-club, earlier that day...
Two cupids flew over-head - and Sirius glanced up warily. One of the cherubs knocked an arrow - but Sirius was prepared. He had had an especially hard time lately. The fan-club had become even more persisitent and the boy had found out that they had been bribing the cherubs into shooting at him and causing him to fall in love with one of them. So far none had been successful - but only because Sirius had been hiding all week.
Raising a middle finger at one of the 'dark' creatures, Sirius backed away... his attempts were futile, though, as only a few seconds later the fan-club were on his trail. The boy stopped, draining the remains of his punch and placing the glass on the tray of a passing ghost (who just so happened to be arm in arm with another, rather attractive, spirit). He had to do something. Everything, everyone, seemed to be in twos. So... if you can't beat 'em, join 'em.
Decisively, Sirius wandered over to the nearest gaggle of girls, brushing specks of imaginary dust from his attire. As the girls became aware of the appraching boy (who was, in their opinion, looking extremely handsome, clad in deep purple robes, the hems dusted with silver stars), their chatter died. Many girls took on a glazed look, seemingly entranced by the appearence of Sirius - an occurence that they belived only possible in their dreams.
A few decided not to do this, but to arrange themselves in the most attractive pose possible, hitching up their skirts and flicking long tresses behind their ears.
The girl that Sirius actually advanced towards, however, was doing neither of these things. True, she was 'with' the long-legged flirts, but her actions were completely different to theirs. As it was, the girl seated on the floor, a golden mane curtaining her blushing face.
Her green-ish eyes focused upon the floor, her willowy hands rapidly stroking the rat that lay in her lap. As Sirius' shadow fell upon her, she shivered, lowering her head a little further, so as to direct attention away from herself.
Sirius did not take the hint. Taking a deep breath (as he felt decisively uncomfortable, having just walked into the midstof his fan-club), he tapped her upon the shoulder. "Hi... I... Er... Like you rat. I have one too. Archie. Do you wanna dance?" Not bothering to wait for an answer, Sirius took the girl's arm, gently pulling her to her feet, causing the rat to scurry away to the safety of a pocket, somewhere concealed on the girl's person.
Only when se was stood up, was Sirius able to see how she truly looked. She was short, there was no doubt about that; she was almost a head smaller than Sirius.
But surprsingly, she was extremley slim. Too slim, in fact to be thought of as having a nice figure. In truth, she was overly slender. Skinny. Twig-like. Her hair cascaded about her shoulders, tumbling, water-fall like, down her back, covering the back of her (rather beautiful) dress. Indeed, the girl was wearing a dress - though it was unlike any other to be seen in the room. The material was green, that of a deep emerald, and be-witched so that it shimmered as it caught the light, then giving off a silver hue.
Golden threads were woven across the fabric, picking out designs that could only be connected to nature. Awe-struck, Sirius led her to the dance-floor, his hands gently cclsping her bare shoulders, the fair skin embroidered too.
The same intricate patterns coated the entirity of her arms, placing an almost mystical aura about the girl - though she was, in fact, entirely normal.
Bare feet padded across the dance-floor, willingly following Sirius, no matter how much of a blush graced their mistress' features. "So umm...." Sirius spoke again, "What's your name..."
At first the female's answer was quiet, barely audible. sirius was on the verge of asking again when she cleared her throat. A defiance hung in her voice, the tones exuberating a confidence that the child looked quite unable to posess. "Milly."
((Nush... I think I went a little OTT on my post... *eyes it* Yesh. Tis vewwy long. *Defends herself* But I /was/ making the debut post of my new character. I have to have a little more space for that!))

Sirius nodded as Milly answered, continuing to lead her further into the crowd of dancers - right past Sadie and her partner.
The boy couldn't help but allow a smile to flit onto his face. A honeyed sensation was filling his heart, and he was powerless to stop it, even though he knew exactly what it was: revenge.
A revenge that was about to be furthered, for right beside the dancing Sadie was a rather large space, one that had only recently been vacated - indeed, it seemed that young witch and wizard who had been dancing there no longer needed it. They were busy in the far corner of the hall, arms, legs, tongues entwined.
Shaking this from his mind, Sirius slipped into the space, leading Milly as he did so. "I'm Sirius."
Milly eyed the boy before her suspiciously. "I know," he answer was almost instantaneous, though her voice still lacked in voume, "How could I not know? Everyone knows you. Your pranks are legendary... most girls have a crush on you... that's all I hear in the dorm, is your name."
Sirius grinned sheepishly, taking his new partner about the waist and dancing with her in a very intimate, mature way, far beyond what was expected of his early years. "Well... yeah... I s'pose. Do /you/ have a crush on me?"
Immediately, a blush began to form upon Milly's features. The colour crept up her neck, before taking a firm grip on the rest of her face, burning fiercely in her ears. Sirius laughed. "I'll take that as a..." "No." Finally, Milly responded, leaning close to Sirius and pushing her chest against his. Sirius was distinctly aware of a shiver running down his spine. His mind was predicting what Milly was going to say, going to do...
"No, I have an /infatuation/ with you... I love you, Sirius..." Then Milly leant up to kiss the boy, long and hard... The blissful imaginings were brought to a halt as Milly spoke. "No, I'm sorry to tell you, but I don't. I /did/. It was very recent, actually. I had the crush up until just now. Just when you led me here. But then I noticed you looking at Sadie, you know, you're girlfriend? Dancing right next to us? Then I realised what an arrogant bastard you really are, Sirius Black. I don't appreciate being used as a ticket to revenge. I don't like being used full stop..." Sirius hand slipped from the girl's waist; he was gradually aware that it was becoming clammier. "Which is why I'm going to stop dancing with you and walk away. But not before I've done this."
True to Sirius' imaginings, Milly leant up - but her lips didn't brush his own... they didn't even brush his cheek. No, her palm did. Sirius was unaware that such a little person could exert so much force.
As Milly applied a stinging slap to his cheek, the teen was aware of himself uttering a cry. It was then that he clapped a hand to his reddening cheek, dropping his gaze to the floor, unable to look at anyone... what would they say?!
Milly, meanwhile, was striding into the crowd, mouth a grim line of determination. Having pushed and shoved for a few seconds, she found herself standing by the refreshments table, breathing heavily and trembling like leaf. "Well that felt good," she murmured absent-mindedly, to the red-headed gryffindor beside her.
((Cough, Lily, Cough! XD))

Lily coughed slightly as she saw the scene on the dance floor and Milly strode over to her. Her laughter was now running freely, as she looked in mild surprise at the girl sat next to her. "I'm sure it did, you are my new hero." She said semi-seriously to the petit girl beside her. "Hi, I'm Lily Evans. I don't think we've had the pleasure of meeting." She said whilst stretching out her hand, a large smile spreading across her lips. This girl truly was amazing, she'd seen straight through Black's little 'revenge' plan and had taken action too! It was amazing, Lily was sure Milly and her would find common ground.

Sadie was enjoying herself as she danced with Kes (After placing his hand on her hip and guiding him for a while) smiling as she did. She frowned slightly as Sirius and Milly danced next to her and Kes. 'I bet that's where he's been all week' she thought as she wrinkled up her nose.
She then focused her attenion upon her dancing partner, every now and then glancing at Sirius and Milly. She stared and snickered when she slapped him around the face before dashing off. 'HA! Serves him bloody right!'

Alice had peeked over, rather confused at why Sirius at gotten slapped since he- I mean she wasn't one to really keep up with all the couples. She almost felt bad for him for some reason though as she stopped resting against Tobias, "Hey Tobias, could we maybe go dance?"She asked somewhat timidly.
((o.o Twiggy, I had a fun idea. XD Maybe Sirius tries to dance with 'Alice'? o.O XD Though he might get slapped again if Sirius get tries to tell Alice Tobias isn't a good person and stuff like Anya did O.o Or worse may happen. XD If he tries to kiss 'Alice' o.o Lets just say that'll break the spell and Alice will turn in to Ace again? o.o))

((Ooh! Me likes! Sirius could be feeling all bitter... and desperate to dance with somone, just to let people know that he still fancied!)) Milly was aware of all the eyes that fell upon her - and instantly she began to redden. Covering her cheeks with willowy hands, she looked to Lily, reluctant to lower her palms and expose her scarlet face. Finally, though, with a nervous smile, she did so, swiftly catching hold of the Gryffindor's extended hand. "Milly. Milly Jameson... It's nice to meet you. I've seen you around, in the library... but we've never actually spoken..." Looking about warily, the girl leant in towards Lily, "Listen..." she murmured, pulling her rat from an un-noticable pocket and stroking the rodent's head absent-mindely. "You... you don't think I over-reacted, do you?" *** At the other end of the dance-floor, however, was Sirius, blissfully unaware of the conversation Milly was now involved in. He, too, held a hand to a red cheek... though, unlike his ex-partner, he was not in the process of removing. Instead, scowling at Sadie as she laughed, he strode to th edge of the room, backing himself into a corner, attempting to console himself. Suddenly, an innocent couple caught his eye. Charlton. Slimy git. Sirius knew he'd never forgive the older boy. But who was that with him? By the size of her, it looked like some first year... though by her... (Sirius reddened as he thought this to himself)... other body parts, certain feminine parts, she seemed to be much older than a first year. She had to be a third year in the very least!

OoC: || But, instead of Sirius getting jealous Sadie can Sadie: -Hisses whilst showing her claws- I'll teach 'em to touch my man.. Umm yess.. -Locks her away- BiC: Sadie followed Sirius with her eyes and felt like slapping his other cheek as he quite openly looked some girl in a short dress up and down. Bloody horny teenage boys!! Why should she care? She had come to the dance with perhaps the sweetest boy she had ever had hte pleasure in meeting, and all she could think about was Sirius undressing some tart with his eyes. 'Cool it Sadie.' she scolded herself, 'Concentrate on dnaicng with Kes!'

((Vewwy good! This ish getting so much better! XD *Siri fan club backs away from Sadie*)) Even as he stared at the first/third year, Sirius couldn't help but steal sharp, short glances at Sadie. Oh well... if she wanted to dance with other people, fine. The boy wasn't about to tie her down. Oh no. He couldn't beat her, he knew that, but join her?
Oh yes. Sirius knew he could join her with little trouble... and who better to help him than possibly the most... intriguing girl at the dance? Yes. Sirius had set his eyes on Alice. And he was already making his first move, edging slowly closer and attempting to make eyecontact with her.
