Prongs Lives!! I was reading a Harry Potter analysis book and... NO I AM NOT A HARRY POTTER FREAK -shifty eyes-... well anyway it says that they think that Remus Lupin and James Potter used a switching spell to hide identies (or maybe Lily did it). So Lupin (looking like James) got killed by Voldemort and James got stuck in Lupin's werewolf body. I found this information very interesting, and I kinda hope its true. Maybe we'll find out in the 7th book. If you have any other predicitions about the seventh book please tell me Thank you

Here's what the book actually says:
Remus Lupin is probably dead. The Remus J. Lupin we know is probably James Potter switched into Lupin's body with a Switching Spell. (Was that Lily's work?)
J.K.R is dropping hints all over the place about the Lupin septology mystery. She has made it clear that there is something very special about Lupin. When asked who her favorite characters are, J.K.R always specifically mentions that she loves Lupin. In interviews, such as with BBC, she says it was Lupin who made Book 3 so important for her to write.
The Book 1 evidence is:
*How did Dumbledore get James' Invisibility Cloak, and how did Hagrid get the key to the Potters' vault?
The Book 3 evidence is:
*Unlike everyone else, Lupin never stared at Harry's scar or mentioned his eyes or resemblance to James. (Ch 5) Lupin simply adressess Harry by name as if he was already very familiar with him.
*Lupin seems to be able to read Harry's mind. (Ch 8) We have found that characters appear to do that whe they have "inside" information, or a close relationship with each other.
*Harry tells Lupin that when a Dementor gets near him, he hears his mum being murdered by Voldemort. On hearing this Lupin had made "a sudden motion with his arm, as though to grip Harry's shoulder, but thought better of it." (Ch 10) Lupin may be relating to Harry's emotions or his own but he is trying to distance himself from Harry. There is no reason why he should stop himself from gripping Harry's arm if he were Lupin. Something here is affecting him too.
*Trelawney said that Lupin "positively fled when I offered to crystal gaze for him--" (Ch 11) He's obivously afraid of exposing something. We might have thought he was afraid that she would discover he's a werewolf; however, we learned that the whole staff already knew of that.
*When Harry tells Lupin he is hearing his mum's voice louder, Lupin looks "paler than usual". Harry then tells Lupin how he hears his dad's voice for the first time trying to hold off Voldemort so his mother could escape. "'You heard James?' said Lupin in a strange voice" (Ch 12) Hearing about Lily didn't make him sad; it made him "pale". Why would Lupin react oddly to Harry hearing James? Because of the odd circumstances -- he realized it wasn't James saying it.
*Professor Lupin who was "both shaken and pleased," comes over to congragulate Harry on his spectacular Patronus (Ch 13) Lupin was "shaken" from seeing what we later learn is James' own Patronus.
*Professor Lupin enters the room in a "shower of red sparks." (Ch 17) A true Gryffindor...
*"I certainly don't want Harry dead..." "An odd shiver passed over his face." (Ch 17) Thats not just a teacher or friend saying that.
*Lupin: "now that we could all transform." (Ch 18) Why wouldn't he say, "Now that THEY could all transform"?
*Lupin has "no hesitation" on what Harry's father would think. (Ch 18) Why is he so sure about what Harry's father would THINK?
*Lupin's first name is Remus -- the legendary wolf-child who was murdered by his brother or his brother's followers. (Such as Pettigrew?)
Harry's father, James is now stuck inside the body of one of his closest (but dead) friends. He has had to live like this for 12 years, hiding from Voldemort followers ames is now, for all intents, Remus Lupin (complete with werewolf transformations).
He is unable to reveal his identity (especially now that Voldemort has been seen again), and is paranoid that his own emotions will make him weak and he will let the truth slip. He so badly wants to touch his son, but he doesn't dare (sob!). ---------------------------------- Well that's what the book says, word for word. What do you think??

-_- I've heard that 'theory' before.... They drank a polyjuice potion and blah, blah, blah.... IT makes me kinda mad..It sounds too much like a fan fiction....It doesn't make any sense. Tell me why would James become a werewolf? It doesn't make sense. All those reasons she thought of to try to prove that Remus is really James is just....ARGGGGG.
Take this one for example: *Harry tells Lupin that when a Dementor gets near him, he hears his mum being murdered by Voldemort.
Of course its affecting him...he was friends with Lily. In the third moive it was hinted that he might of liked her...
This one: *"I certainly don't want Harry dead..." "An odd shiver passed over his face." (Ch 17) Thats not just a teacher or friend saying that.
Well Lupin IS part of the Order....
And this one: *Lupin: "now that we could all transform." (Ch 18) Why wouldn't he say, "Now that THEY could all transform"?
Well Lupin could transform before them, so when James, Peter and Sirius became Animagi... they ALL could transform....
There you go...this one is just like the theory that Crookshanks is really Victor Krum. Or the one saying Lily was a Deatheater...OR the one saying that Sirius was really Regulus, so Sirius is alive....
J.K. Rowling has said James and Lily are dead...so they're dead..they're gone. They Poofed! Of course this is just my opnion...

hey there have you all heard the theory about hermione's boggart being a lie... there have been some good ideas; baskilisk, people figuring out she had a time turner (my idea, and that's what made me look it up), and harry or someone dead like Mrs. Weasleys.
then there have been disturbing ones, like did she ask Lupin that she didn't want to do it because her greatest fear was being nude in public (doubt it; and JKR would only made her lie if it was strong to the story line); and some people asked "what would happen if her greatest fear was being raped"... some people are real FREAKS...
