Heading down the street, holding a small bag of money was Remus Lupin. “I need a few more pairs of robes, a new wand- I snapped that one. What else? Some more books,” the auburn headed boy muttered to himself, as he continued on his way. So far, he’d walked into one man, had a lady ask him if he was looking for his ‘mummy’, and gotten lost.

"MUM! I've done it two years on my own so just.. shut up! Ok?" cried a rather irritated 12 year old. Her muggle mother stood behind her, peering into shop windows and asking if it was really necessary to buy all the things she needed. Sadie Butley shoved her money bag into the pocket of her jeans and dragged her mother down the crowded street.
She stopped as she saw a familiar boy. She grinned and waved at him before looking at her mom. "Erm.. Mum.. I'm going to go talk to my friend, is that ok?" she asked edging towards Remus. Her mom nodded as she was looking at the Broomsticks displayed in the shop window, mumbling something about "Needing a new broom to sweep the kitchen floor.

Remus was, in all honesty, looking rather ragged and tired. Many parents who saw him thought him a bad influence, but where could they possibly get that idea? Remus was as nice a kid as you could get. He peered into a window, where books were on display.

Sadie noticed how tired and raggedy he looked but brushed it aside. "Remus!" she shouted over the many heads of Witches and Wizards. She headed in his direction making sure she could keep an eye on her mom, knowing her she'd try to buy the broom in the window.

Remus spun around, surprised at someone yelling his name. Seeing Sadie heading towards him, he waved, pale face breaking into a grin. “Hey Sadie!”<br>

Saide had a bit of trouble getting to Remus as a group of chattering Witches knocked her to her feet. She jumped up brushing dirt off of her clothes. "Thank god!" Sadie said with a grin when she finally reached Remus.

“Is that your mum?” Remus asked, motioning to the woman peering into the window of a shop. He laughed, wondering what his mother would be doing if she was here.

"Er.. Yeah.." she said watching as her mom prodded a few owls in their cages, she had grown tired of the Broomsticks. "Good thing you're here.. She was driving me nuts! I'm just grateful my mom made my brother stay at home!"

“Poor you,” Remus replied, nodding his head for some unknown reason. One arm had a bag slung over it, holding several pairs of robes.

"Anyways.. Five Pairs? You planning on growin' this year?.." she smirked. She pulled a letter from her bag and paused to read it. "Hmm, I think we should go get our books now.."
