"Yeah, do you think it's too plain?" She asked critically as she stood up and twirled around, making the lower skirt of the dress flare out. "I love yours though. It's really pretty." She said as she smiled at the other girl. "I love this song." She exclaimed as she craned her neck to see the band over the crowds of people.

"No.. I think plain is much better.. This dress is rather uncomfortable.." she complained as she smoothed out the skirts of her dress.

"Gorgeous though." Lily added as she looked at the dress admiringly. Sighing, Miss Evans sat back down. "I wonder what all of our masks will turn into at the end." She thought aloud.

"I don't know.. I think mine might turn into a bluebird or something like that seeing as it's blue.." she said thinking about Lily's mask. "Yours might be a dove.."

"That would be nice." She said thinking about it. "Anyway, come sit down over here and we will see if we can guess who these two are." Lily said smiling at the boy she had just been talking to. She wasn't really going to guess but she was a little curious and she wanted to start a conversation. Spotting Anya she waved her over. "Hey Anya!" She called, hoping to be heard over the music.

Sirius nodded miserably, his mask slipping slightly as his head bobbed up and down. Hurriedly - or as hurriedly as his drunken state would allow - he pushed back at up, swallowing tears as he friend spoke to him. "You're right..." he muttered, squeezing his friend tightly, "She hates me and she always will... I'll just go dacne with that girl I invited. Whatever her name was... Kayleigh... Claire... I dunno.... maybe it was..."
Sirius trailed off as the two girls approached him. One was unknown to him - the other, Sirius knew, due to his prior experiences, was Sadie. Tensing slightly, the boy attempted to pull himself together. "Fine..." he muttered, glad to have James's bracing words in his ear, "I'm fine."
As Sadie sloped away, he began to cry afresh, though, the tears rolling once more. "But I love her...."

A limber girl sat on the bottom elevant on the staircase in the Enterance Hall. She was sporting a blood red gown that resembled a corset about the midriff section, and her face was disguised by a black mask, much resembling the face of a feline. The black seemed to rebel against her snow white skin and flaxen hair violently, but its effort was futile.
She sat there, her legs forming a "C" shape, making it seem as if her dress was a mass of blood at her legs--or red wine. Her thin forearms were covered by ebony glovelets that exposed her slender fingers instead of covering them. In her hands was a small book without a title, and she seemed to be intent on being undisturbed.
