"What?! Completely?! Are you serious?! How could you do that?!" Sirius was immediately defensive. "If you don't want him, I'll take the little guy."
Sirius gulped as he realised the enormity of what he'd said. Perhaps it wouldn't be such a good idea. His dark eyes twinkled as he contemplated the explosion. "On second thoughts," he gabbled, "You keep him!"

Remus snorted. “I wasn’t getting rid of him like that!” he laughed. “I just meant to dump him in the Dormitory.”<br>

"Oh...." Sirius shut up instantly, feeling more than stupid. "How come we've never seen him before?" he asked suddenly, gesturing to himself and James, "Or has Remus shown you it? I guess not seeing the way you reacted to him..." These words were shot at James.

“He was told to come this year. I don’t know why, I think my… My Father didn’t like it.” Remus replied, shrugging.

"Oh!" Sirius nodded and stood up again. "I'm bored!" he announced. "You lot stay here, I'm going to go and find the food trolley!"
The third year walked out, rattling his money filled pocket, eyes twinkling as he scoured the train, searching for the dumpy little witch - and one of the things most important to Sirius - food.

“’Bye then, Sirius.” Remus called, as the boy left the compartment. Finally noticing the shattered glass all over the floor, Remus pulled out his wand. “Repairo.” he muttered.

James stared. "Umm… right," was all he said, "Anyway…" He looked around the compartment trying to think of something to say. "I guess I don’t care who you’re friends with either," he said quickly not directly looking at Remus, "I mean.. I don’t know, actually." He shrugged and looking around, noticing for the first time that Evans had entered the carriage. "’Lo, Evans," he said waving, a grin spreading across his face

Sirius burst into laughter as his friend waved at the pretty red-head. "Starting already, James?! You've only just got on the train!"

Lily watched the whole scene, quite confused. Wasn't she always though, when it came to Sirius at least? She just rolled her eyes slightly.
"I'm not even going to ask..."
She then heard Potter and frowned slightly. Great, he'd noticed her. What joy.
"'Lo Potter."
She simply noded in his direction, not really wanting to get involved in a conversation with him.

Remus sighed, not saying anything now. Another year of hiding, great, Remus thought.

James turned in his seat so he could look at everyone that was now arranged in the compartment. "Have a good summer, Evans?" he asked the girl, trying to strike up some friendly conversation. He knew, obviously, that the girl didn’t want anything to do with him, but that didn’t stop him from trying.
He gave a sideways glance at Remus, who looked rather depressed. He’s probably just tired. It’s a long trip from London to Hogwarts.
"All right there, Remus?" he asked.

Lily sighede, sitting down as far away from James as possible. How should she answer his question? Sh'd had a nice summer for a muggle, but for a witch? It was horrible.
It was fine Potter. Same old thing.
She ran one hand through her red hair and glanced out the window. Hopefully they'd be arriving at Hogwarts soon, so she could finaly find her friends.

Remus looked up, jerked out of his thoughts. “What? I didn’t do it!” he cried, looking around wildly. Then he blushed, realising what he’d yelled.

James gave Remus a fleeting glance before returning his full attention to the lovely Miss Evans. "Same ole thing, eh?" he asked laughing, "Me too. It wasn't that bad, though. My parents and I went to visit some relatives in France. They're a bit odd..."

Lilly nodded polietly. She had to admit, it sounded better than her summer. She'd been cooped up in the house all summer with no one to talk to besides the ocasional letters from a school mate or two.
"It's better than being cooped up in the house all day with no one to talk to and no conection with the wizzarding world."
She glanced around the compartment, smiling at Remus for a moment before becoming lost in her own thoughts about who knows what.
