"How about you get a plain sort of dress like mine or something.. And then use a spell to add things to it, I think I saw one in a spellbook in the Library."

"That's a really good idea Sadie." Lily said beaming suddenly, "Oh I saw a really nice, white dress over here, it has a mask and eveything." Lily said wriggling through a gap between two large Slytherins to get over to the dress. She picked it up, it was quite long and had a silk band around the middle. It had thin straps which criss-crossed down the back and a silver mask with a small white feather that came from near the eye. "What do you guys think?" She asked.

"That isn't that bad plain, but you could make the spell create the designs in a golden thread.." she said as she examined the dress. "It could be Cinderella or Snow White or something like that.."

"Have I ever told you that you're a genious, Sadie Butley?" Lily asked with a grin and walked up to the counter to pay for the dress. "Just this please." She said politely to the shop assisstant as she fumbled with her denim purse for the correct amount - 3 galleons. Laying the large coins on the mahogany desk.
"Thank you miss, have a good day." The young witch said with a small smile to Lily as she handed the bag containing the dress over to Lily. The thirteen year old beamed at the shop clerk.
"Thank you very much. Have a good day too." She said before wriggling through the crowds back to where her friends were stood. "Are you guys ready to go? We could go to Honeydukes or something. It seems like everyone else is here so the rest of Hogsmeade should be relatively quiet." Lily explained logically before glancing around at the others at to what they thought of the idea.

"No you haven't.. but it's about time you did!" she replied cheekily, clutching her recent purchase. "Yeah.. But let's go get a drink. I'm dying for one!"

"Good idea." The red head said, nodding enthusiastically as she fought her way through the crowd to get to the door and out into the fresh air. "Right so ladies, the Three Broomsticks?" Lily asked briskly as she tucked her purse back into the pocket of her robes. "Tell you what, the first round is on me, everyone wants butterbeer, right?" Miss Evans asked as she pushed open the door, the creaking hinges being drowned out by the jingling of a bell above the door. It was relatively quiet, only a few students were inside the warm pub along with several other patrons, including a rather vicious looking goblin.

Sadie nodded, inhaling deeply as they reached the fresh air. That dress shop had smelt slightly musty, probably all of the dresses that hadn't been sold and had been hanging there for god knows how long. Snapping back to reality she shook her head. "No Lily. I'll pay for the drinks thank you very much. It was my idea to come here after all." she trailed off as she grinned at the warmth and delicious smells that rushed to greet her from inside the pub. She rumaged in her pocket for coins. "I'm assuming everyone would like a butterbeer, " she stated looking around at the group through blue eyes.

"If you insist." Lily said with a shrug as she moved to sit in a booth by the window. The glass pane gave a lovely view of a relatively peaceful cobbled street, filled with multi-coloured shops and what-not. "Yeah butterbeer would be good." She said over her shoulder to Sadie as she slid into the marroon coloured bench, leaning her hands on the table and playing with the knots and marks in the wood.

"Yeah, I do insist." she grinned as she moved towards the counter, dodging a few second year students as she did. "Three Butterbeers please," she stated politely to the barmaid, who replied "That'll cost you 17 sickles and 2 knuts" Sadie nodded in acknowledgement before rummaging in her pockets form the right amount of coins. She placed 17 sickles and 1 knut on the counter but couldn't fin the last knut. Typical. "Aha!" she said triumphantly as she placed the last knut on the counter, before collecting the butterbeers and taking them over to the table Lily had chosen.
