Running up into the owlery, Anya hurridly fineshed a letter to her mother.
Dear Mum, Sorry I forgott to stop by this weekend! I forgot, being tied up with Lily. I need something. Can you go to my room, and wrap up my Wolf carving Dad made? I'm giving it to... a friend that needs it. Please? Lotsa love, Anya
And now, she waited.

An hour later , her owl came pack carring a box. She took it off, and opened it, making sure the item was in perfect condition. IT was carved out of wood, and had a base of white gold.

Fall was wisped in through the ever open windows of the Owlery. Cool and crisp, the autumn air flowed throughout the small, circular room of stone, and ever so sightly it caressed the downy feathers of the nestled birds that called this room their home. However fowl smelling this enclosure may be, it was in a way calming, for the low cooing of the owls danced pleasantly in your ears accompanied by the rustling of the dry, colored leaves outside.
Mr. Alfrog found it most pleasant when the breeze would comb its way through his curly locks of chocolate brown. His soft hazel eyes looked straight into two great green orbs of an owl that sat comfortably in his massive cupped hands.
The size contrast was almost eye popping between the pair. One huge ball of muscle whose hands were almost larger than the creature they held , compared to the tiny ball of fuzz in his palms. The owl, slightly smaller than a football, was sitting upright in its bed of warm flesh. It's large eyes looked back into that of it's owner's. The boy, who's hands hid the entire bottom half of the bird from view was sitting in the window ledge, and doing a wonderful job of taking up space in the small tower.
A neglected box of cauldron cakes sat at Leo's side, all wrapped up in a tough parchment to keep it safe. They were for his mother. Thats right for not from. Leo knew how much his mother loved the sugar filled treats that she could obviously not buy in her muggle town. The fourth year Gryffindor figured he might as well say good-bye to his small owl, Artemis, before he took the package off to its destination.
//Eh... could be better, but I desperately wanna hug that owl right now. XD//

"Bloody pigeon!" The Ravenclaw growled a large barn owl, no doubt one belonging to the school. "Get down here!" Andromeda Black jumped up in the air on her toes few times, her arms out stretched as she tried to grab the fuzzy looking bird that hovered just inches above her reach. Taking a deep breath, the teen decided to try coaxing the idiot bird, so gradually stopped trying to grab it and let her arms fall down at her side. Stooping over, she grabbed a handful of soggy, cold, brown hay that lay on the ground, outstretching her hand towards the owl who was now neatly perched several feet in the air on a small ledge.
"Owl," Andy coaxed, moving her arm a little higher so the bird could see what was in her hand. "Care for some--" the fourth year glanced at the hay in her palm. "some nice, wet, shit stained hay?" She slightly cringed at her words, wondering if it was really sanitary to just pick up things in the Owlery that came from the ground.
The barn owl slowly turned its head to face Andy, blinking several times as it gazed down at the bedding in her hand.
"Alright, I have your attention. Now, don't you want to be a good little, plump owl and deliver this note to my family? They are nice people." Andromeda lied as she reached in her pocket and waved a small little envelope around in circles.
Finally giving in to the girl, the pluffy owl came down from it's perch and allowed the note to be tied to its claw. Grinning, Andy spoke. "Alright, bring this to the Black family--" At the name 'Black', the owl began hooting loudly, trying to tug away from Andy's grip as she was still tyeing the envelope to the bird. Perplexed, the Ravenclaw let go of the owl's foot which let the bird go, sending the note that was half attached to its claw flying through the air.
"What the--" Miss Black stared blankly at the barn owl as it flew at top speed through the window over the grounds. Standing in confusion for a few seconds, Andy then realized that her letter was gone. Forgetting about the schizophrenic owl, she glanced around the Owlery for the parchment which had landed just inches behind a massive hunk of muscle dressed in Gryffindor colors. Quickly, the Ravenclaw scurried across the room.
"Sorry." She said politely as she bent over and grabbed her note off the ground, not sure what year the kid was in. "Owl trouble... " She muttered, straitening her back.

The overstuffed Gryffindor had heard the Ravenclaw come in but hadn't paid much attention to her until she started spewing her lungs out at the school owl. And I thought Ravenclaws were supposed to be the quiet book hardy types //He has obviously NOT met Devin yet. XD//
"Care for some nice, wet, shit stained hay?" To one who had not seen what she was doing, this sentence seemed rather odd indeed. Leo turned his head to see what exactly this girl was doing and allowed an amused smile to creep its way along his face, wondering if this girl realized that she had just picked up the wet, shit stained hay. His ponderings were confirmed only a moment later when she looked at the sopping wad of goo in her hand and shuddered.
With a slight chuckle emitting from his lips, Leonard looked back over to his owl who was pecking nervously at the package that was just about half his size, as if wondering how on earth he was supposed to carry it. The boy reached down and tied the parcel to the twittering bird's leg. "Don't worry, I've got this one covered." He murmured quietly. Taking out his wand he cast a charm that he had learned just the other day on the box. "That should make it lighter."
The thankful bird had just barely hovered a few inches above the windowsill, when the large hooting barn owl that Leo recognized to be the one that the Ravenclaw had been lecturing, zoomed throw the window at top speed. Artemis, the little owl, immediately dropped back down onto Leo's huge lap to keep from being knocked out of the tower.
The bemused Gryffindor looked over to see the Ravenclaw standing there, looking just as shocked as he was.
"Sorry. Owl trouble." she muttered.
Leo couldn't help but grin at her. Standing up he seemed to grow about 2 feet and walked over to pick up the parchment. He moved over to the Ravenclaws' side. Leo was used to looking down at people, and in this case it was no different as he clearly towered over the girl. He chuckled. "You're welcome to use Artemis there." He jabbed his thumb back at the window where his owl still sat looking almost stunned at the surprise he had received a moment before. "'Cause it seems to me that last owl wasn't all to deliver your letter."
//That was kinda choppy, but oh well.//

"Oh, thanks for the..." Andromeda was cut short as she was suddenly aware of how tall the Gryffindor before her actually was. "Offer." Holy! the Ravenclaw thought to herself as she looked up at Leo, feeling as if she were slowly, slowly shrinking. Looking up at the giant fourth year for a moment, dear little Andy turned her gaze down to the ground, staring at her feet. That was when she noticed Leo's feet.
"Wow, nice shoes." She half choked half laughed as she compared his men's size fourteen's with her very own woman's size eights. It looked like Miss Black had midget feet compared to his. "Oh, and yes, I have no idea why that idiot owl did that." Andromeda slightly arched her neck to look up at Leo. "But then again, it might have something to do will Bellatrix... oh, and I'm Andromeda by the way-- Black. Andromeda Black."

It was very amusing to watch the girl stutter, but Leo didn't want to make her feel any more em brassed or awkward than she already was. He had received this reaction several times before, and was somewhat used to it by now.
Unfortunately, he had never had quite this reaction. "Wow, nice shoes." Leo raised one eyebrow slightly and cocked his head to the side. That was a rather random thing to say. He didn't even know which shoes he was wearing! Looking down to find out, he saw that they were not exactly out of the ordinary. Plain, brown, and at the moment speckled with bird feces from the owlery floor. Nope, there wasn't anything extraordinary about his shoes.
"Er.." The massive Gryffindor quickly changed his expression to one of slight gratitude toward the complement. "Thanks."
The girl continued to tell him why the owl had been so unwilling to mail her seemingly harmless letter. "Ah. One of the infamous Blacks." It was a pretty true statement. Leo, himself had never met a person in this school who hadn't yet heard about the Black family. (This was most likely Sirius's doing) "Well, as I said before you're welcome to use Artemis there."
//Is it possible to crap up? .... Ew, I'd rather not think about that. -has bad mental images-//

"Infamous, eh?" Andy asked curiously quirking her eyebrow up at Leo, feeling confident now that she knew the Gryffindor wasn't going to decapitate all her limbs and shove the remaining bloody bits and pieces of her in a closet. ll ^^ Random. ll "Do we really have that bad of a reputation in this school?" The Ravenclaw mused as she continued to hold the little white envelope in her hands.
Woah, there Andy, getting a bit too peppy, The fourth year thought suddenly, realizing she was smiling. Well, it was only natural for the love struck Black to be on the happier side after having anything to do with Ted, but still. Showing heavy emotion to total strangers and complimenting on their shoes was just plain random. "Um, I'd love to borrow your owl sometime-- when you're not using him that is." Andromeda quickly added. "This little note isn't important at all and doesn't need to be sent directly home this very minute. I was just... checking in with the family I suppose." Andy lied since her letter was in fact a reply to one of her mother's six letters she had sent her daughter that past week, scolding her for various reasons. Surprisingly, though, none of the pointless bantering on paper said anything about Ted... which was a good thing, but strange. Andromeda was sure that the majority of people in the Ravenclaw tower noticed the 'I <3 Ted's scribbled all over her notebooks, but she guessed none of them cared about her personal life, (with the exception of Devin) which was a relief... but then again it was a bit on the weird side.
"And you are...?" Andy asked Leo curiously, slowly recalling seeing him in several of her classes.

Leo silently pondered to himself why she wasn't as popular as Sirius was. I mean, she was one of the Blacks. They were all known for either their looks // -coughSIRIUScough-//, or their pure hate toward muggle borns. //-coughREUGLUScough-//
Ah well, seeing that this fourth year wasn't one to judge he just let the thought pass him by. "It's alright really. I'm sure Artemis can carry the parchment too." As if on cue, the stubby little owl (package and all) flapped its way across the Owlery and came to land on Leo's shoulder.
A sudden "And you are?" caused him to remember that he had not yet introduced himself. "Oh, yeah." The boy brought his right hand in front of him to shake the girl's hand. "Leonard, fourth year. You can call me Leo."

ll -le gasp- It looks like someone is dissing Andy, -coughLEOcough- not to point any fingers, but-- Ted: -runs out holding chainsaw- What?! Me: O.O -looks from Leo to Ted- ...nothing! ll
Andromeda silently nodded in gratitude as Leonard offered Artemis to deliver the letter. "Thanks so much, I'll have to repay you for this," The Ravenclaw reached up and across for the small owl that sat perched on the Gryffindor's shoulder, carefully adding the envelope to its load after firmly shaking Leo's hand. "Fourth year? I thought I recognized you from Transfiguration and Herbology... and Potions," Andy commented as she placed her hands back at her robe's sides, looking up at Leo. She was silently debating with herself if it was too soon to tell the Gryffindor he could call her 'Andy'.
"Well, obviously you're a Gryffindor," Andy's eyes scrolled up the boys attire for a quick moment. "So I'm assuming you'd know Sirius?" Aw, hell with it. Andromeda was trying to start a conversation with this kid and the first thing that rolled off her tongue was if he was aware of her cousin. Well, of course he was! Whether or not you knew him personally or just got an occasional glimpse, everyone in the school knew of Sirius Black. "Or Jayna Marsh, or that Pattew kid? Sorry, I'm just throwing names at you now."
ll Uhh... writer's block? ^^ We need more people. -gets out random horn and begins to blow it- It's a people call. :3 --thing. ^^ ll

Nadia walked up the Owlery Stairs as quickly as she could. She was holding an envelope. The envelope looked crisp and new. It was filled, the envelope was bulging but none the less still smooth. Nadia skipped two steps at a time and finally reached the top. She heard talking and glanced up to see Andromeda and Leo. "How does he get to be so tall . I wish I could borrow his hight." Nadia said to herself. Nadia was rather short. She was only five feet, two inches tall. She made a soft, low whistle. She smiled as she heard a rustle of wings. Her rather large owl ((meaning tall and large wingspan, not fat ^.^)) owl came swooping down and landed on Nadia's outstretched arm. He was as black as night and his yellow eyes stood out against his soft feathers. "Hey Alex" She said as she pet her owl. She cuddled close to her Owl. She pet his sleek back with Index and Middle finger. The owl seemed to love her just as much as she loved it. He then stared at her jean pocket. She let out a slight chuckle and reached into her pocket. After several minutes of fiddling in her tight pocket (( jean pockets are always tight these days, or the inside of the pocket falls out! At least for me anyway!)). She pulled out two owl treats and laid them out on a flat palm. He Quickly gobbled them up and let out a soft, sweet, low hoot.

Leo allowed Andromeda to reach up, actually way up, from her usual height to attach a message to Artemis's outstretched foot. Not long after it was secured tightly, the little owl seemed bored with their stupid human conversation and took off out the window behind his owner.
I'll have to repay you for this "Oh, theres no need really." He replied simply. It wasn't as though he himself had to fly god knows how far to deliver a letter.
Listening patiently as Andromeda spoke of the different occasions she'd seen him, the gryffindor noticed the pattering of footsteps on the stone floor. Leo turned his head slightly to see that it was a girl he had met once in the common room: Nadia. After a small nod of recognition in her direction he turned back to the Ravenclaw who was still speaking in front of him.
"Yes, I've seen him once or twice." Leo replied with a smile, noticing a small amount of embarrassment in the girls eyes. She did well not to make it known though.
"Or Jayna Marsh, or that Pattew kid? Sorry, I'm just throwing names at you now."
"Yes I've met Jayna in the common room, and I believe Jason Pattew was there too." Leo seemed to recall how little he knew about his fellow Gryffindors. He only knew their names.
"S'all right. I don't know that many people in the school."
//GAH! We need something interesting to happen. I KNOW! THE OWLS ATTACK! BUAHAHAHA! -cough cough- I mean, I like owls. ;D//
