Sam pushed himself past people, this time crashing into Lily. He looked at her, then looked to Milly. "I..I.." he stammered, "I'm Sorry.." he mummered as he quickly turned around and began heading out once more.
"I need to get away." he muttered.

Tobias remained by the wall, humming softly to himself, watching other people dancing. It was, in fact, rather boring now. Hawk-like eyes stared around, knowing that 'Alice' - Ace - was taking longer than needed, and had probably been 'stolen' by Sirius. Bastard. The teachers on the stage had started another song - more slower, he noted. Each song was getting slower and slower, leading up to the big Slow Dance of the night. It seemed like a short amount of time, but in fact the dance was nearly over.

Lily blinked as the boy bumped into her but called after him and walked over, beckoning for Milly to come as well. "No harm done, I'm Lily, Lily Evans, and this is Milly." The red head said indicating the female behind her. "We were just going for a dance before the slower songs come on, but maybe we'll see you around?" SHe asked politely with a tilt of her head.
She turned on her heel and headed into the mass of dancing students, her emerald eyes searching for Milly and she craned her neck to see over the heads of her peers.

Content, Milly made her way over to where Lily was beckoning - just in time to see the disappearance of Sam.
Still smiling, the girl gave a slight wave, before tugging Lily further into the mass of dancers. "C'mon Lils," she cried, eyes glittering, "Let's destroy the soppy atmosphere and make this place a little more night-club!"
With no further ado, Milly began to dance, purposely allowing her limbs to splay out in all directions.

Kat's feet were begining to protest. An entire evening of random wandering was finally taking its toll. She plopped herself down at an empty table near the doors and sighed with relief. She bent over and massaged her left ankle, thankful for the fact that there was no one else at this particular table. After she had decided that her ankles felt much better, she leaned back and relaxed, sipping her drink and watching the other people dance.

Lily stumbled along after Milly, her arm in the younger girls' grasp and giggled as Milly began to dance, much to the annoyance of the odler couple beside them. Throwing all care to the wind, as well as self-conscienceness, she too began to dance with a light laugh escaping her lips. Maybe this dance wouldn't turn out so bad after all, she silently mused to herself as she spun in a few little circles before returning to her *ahem* 'dancing.'

Milly smothered a chuckle as Lily followed her lead and began to... do whatever the twosome were in the process of doing.
The child was barely aware of the hissed cursing of the dancing couples - most of her attention was concentrated on the amount of fun she found herself experiencing.

Like Sam, Regulus had been wandering around the dance watching the couples dance. "Pathetic." he muttered, "They fall in and out of love every day. One moment they love each other, the next they hate each other." He laughed and shook his head.
Sam quickly brushed by Regulus who growled, "Watch it you stupid Gryffindor." he snarled. Sam paled and quickly ran off.
"Odd.." muttered Regulus as he watched Sam dissapere. He shrugged and continued walking around.

// Thankies!! I cant wait till tomorrow at midnight! I'm gonna go get the 6th book! -does a little dance-//
Near the back of the great hall, if one were so bored as to notice, a girl had caught a cupid and was now attempting to rip its wings off. The words "Bloody... creature..." were mumbled every so often from her lips, as she struggled with the it. Getting an idea she grabbed one of the arrows from the Cupid and started prying the wings off with that.
Devin's attire was somewhat... erm ... different from everyone else's. She wore a deep purple top, with long sleeves and yet they left her shoulders bare. The skirt she wore was of a silvery kind of material and it went to her knees. From her feet up she wore a pair of knee socks that were striped pink and orange. (Of course, nothing of Devin's ever matches) And her feet were stuffed into a pair of black shoes that not only had straps like a sandal but had buckles on each strap. She had pulled her hair up into a strange kind of bun with a decorative stick or two running through it to keep it in place. Yes... Devin had decided to be different today. Like she does everyday.
Her mismatched earrings shook violently as she continued to struggled with the Cupid. This dance was turning out to be quite amusing compared to what she thought it would be.

~hi, i'm new. i hope you guys don't mind me jabbing in like this...^^~ Sitting at a corner, where no one noticed him,but he noticed everyone else, a tidy-haired Gryffindor watched, amused as a girl struggled with a cupid, trying to rip its wings off. "Cute..." he muttered. Smiling, Jason Pattew sipped his lemonade and continued watching this spectacular scene. Else where, Jason could see couples waltzing, laughing, enjoying themselves. Valentine was not one of his favourite occasions. What with girls meeting boys and vice versa, he was quite sick of it. Jason wasn't dancing, just because he didn't want to. He was not being arrogant but he knew that should he want it, he would definitely have a partner. Besides, watching this girl rip the wings off cupids is highly interesting. Jason was quite neatly dressed. He believed in tidiness and disapproves of James Potter's hair style. He was wearing a midnight blue dress robe, with no patterns. The material was, however made out of silk. Glancing towards the cupid-wings-ripper, Jason tutted slightly at her unmatching clothes. Who in the world wears pink and...orange? Shuddering slightly, Jason resumed sipping his lemonade as the songs played grow slower and slower.
